Walk-a-Thon

This is the first official blog post! These posts will just be to highlight the events that we have with the unit.

So, if for some reason you were unable to make it to the event, these should make you feel as though you actually were!

On Saturday, May 20th, five of us went to the local stop and shop to raise money and hopefully gain some walkers. We were able to get $268 in donations from 3 hours of of volunteer time.

Walk-a-Thon day quickly approached us, but I think I can speak for all of us when I say that it was a huge success! It ended up being a perfect morning for a perfectly distanced walk. We ended the occasion with $1,911 in total donations to the unit.

We definitely could not have made this event happen as successful as it did without the help and support from all of you. This first event really showed how we could come together and get things done. We are making progress to become a unit that can live on its own two feet. But until that happens, I would like you all to share this last bit with your spouses...

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 133 would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the support you have given us over the last couple of months. Your advice, support , and guidance have been the fuel to the fire that was beyond necessary to make any of this possible. Hopefully one day in the future the Auxiliary can help you and show you as much respect as you have shown us. We truly appreciate you and everything that you have done, and continue to do.

Until next time,

CS
